Here are my easy to follow tops tips for making life so much easier for you and the people you work with.

The internet was always supposed to make our lives much easier, with faster communication and easier filing and storage systems. As more and more communications fly at us every day however, poor housekeeping and bad habits can actually result in us wasting a lot of time.

Follow my 9 top tips and get into good habits to make the most of the hours in your day:

1. Always title your emails appropriately. It helps to find things later.
2. Clear your inbox daily – file what you need and delete the rest.
   
3. Unsubcribe to the email newsletters you never read.
4. Only phone if its urgent – I find phone calls more disruptive to my work flow than anything else.
5. Make sure your address book is always up to date.
6. Try to use the correct terminology – I might not know what “thingy” you’re referring to!!!
7. Remember your P’s and Q’s.
8. Setup your email account on your mobile phone.
9. Make sure you know how your backup email facility works.

If everyone in your office signs up to these ground rules it really can make everything run a lot more smoothly, with less time wasted just finding things for a start.
